Message to District 66

Greetings,

I am Kimberly Alexander, the Democratic Candidate for the newly drawn District 66 of the State House of Representatives. I am not a career politician nor a lobbyist backed candidate. I pledge to be a Statesperson and as your representative, I will listen to your concerns, value your input and cast my votes for what is in the best interest for the citizens of District 66.

I know that I am the best person to serve the people in District 66 and I know that I will do an outstanding job as your Representative in the State House.

Additionally, I have the wisdom, knowledge, understanding and skillset to be an effective Representative for the citizens of the District 66.

Our property taxes remain the same while the value of our property diminishes. I have watched Georgia's unemployment rate continue to spiral upward while the economy is moving at a snail's pace. Never would I have envisioned Georgia's Teachers losing their jobs and the classroom size increasing. The State must stop balancing the budget on the backs of our students and Teachers. Education is too important to our children and their future. We cannot squander the opportunity for our children to have a basic quality education. As your Representative of District 66, I will fight fervently to end furlough days and decrease classroom size.

I am a single parent with over 15 years of experience working in Corporate America in business and finance. I hold a Master's of Science & Administration Degree and a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology with a minor in Family Counseling. I also have a Certified Business Manager Certification and a Certification of Management Assurance. I have the qualifications to watch wasteful spending and vote the will of the people and not the will of the lobbyist.

We have to make every effort to improve the issues listed above for the future of OUR children.
